PUI (Posting Under the Influence)

dried cranberries is as far sweet as I go in a salad. I don't like manderine oranges or anything like that in it.

I understand why the church did it - you need a reminder to think of the church and Jesus during Lent (as it's a special time of year) and restricting what you eat is certainly a way to do that. Oh friday - no meat - Oh yeah Jesus! I forgot!

I get it. But i still do try to half heartedly stick to it.

Uhh....the deal is this: It's not a Jesus thing. It's a Pope helping out the starving Italian fisherman along the coast of Italy in like the 1500s. :blush5:

Mushrooms can be good.

I once fell in like with portobella cap grilled and stuffed with goat cheese, drizzled with a berry port reduction and sprinkled with pine nuts. ;)

Yummo.

Really is that why it started? I always just thought (though admittedly never researched) that it was just a memory trigger thing.

Lent is the "memory trigger thingy."

The fish part... that's because the Pope didn't know anybody at Tyson's.

Not biblical. Only canonical.

Good luck on the move Tim.

Thanks.
Even with the moving Co. doing most of this, there is still a ton of crap to deal with.
And a lot of chit I wasn't planning on taking in my truck that I'm gonna have to find room for...
I think I'm already behind schedule.
Many beers to make the trip (at the room) I'm sure.
Limited posting this next week.
