of course if I keep improving on the attitude, we may be ordering pizza for dinner instead of me cooking it.
 
I am trying to decide what we are doing. I have been observing Lent so far.... been fishy fridays. I had tuna for lunch. Trying to think of something different than fish that isn't all fat like mac and cheese. I like meat. Had a big hamburger last night just to help get my protein fix. Don't feel like marinara either.
 
I've been doing iffy with Lent. Some Fridays I make it, some I don't. I forgot about today went I went to the grocery so we might not be doing so well for dinner.


I was going to say what about tuna steaks but I guess not. You could do blackened fish. I have a great blackening recipe if you need it.
 
I think we will order out today. That way she can have what she wants. She isn't on the lent thing. I have actually been good this year. I know some nuns who haven't. :D
What cha gonna do?

Fish are friends. Not Food.


I am planning on making pork chops stuff with gouda and bacon (forgot about Lent when grocery shopping)
 
I have a beer.... I just wanted to make that clear. :D

Anyway... I order out and we are having:

Broiled Tilapia
rice
vegetable of day (usually green beans)
side of mac and cheese
greek salad
a few fried mushrooms

No meat. :D

I think we're having zucchini in olive oil with oregano and feta cheese with the pork chops. You're making me feel bad now. Maybe I could pull some fish out of the freezer. I haven't had any other meat all day.
 
I have had half a bottle of wine if that's important.


I had a good salad the other day and normally I don't like salad. It had grilled chicken, pine nuts, goat cheese, dried cranberries with a basil vinegarette dressing. It was really good.

I wouldn't feel bad. Didn't change who you are as a person. I view it as an optional, personal thing. (IMO) But I am not a "capital C" church kind of guy.

I can't wait to slice up a big fresh lipon ribeye. I saw some that are about 18 pounds. I could cut thick steaks and still get 15 or 18 of them out of it. Yum. You can grill them rare because of the lack of processing. And so juicy.
