And ended up with some of the bleakest real estate on the planet. $hit, we could have sold them Newark, Detroit and Gary, Indiana cheap and we'd have both been further ahead.

Of Course people from the poor countries are interested to move to the US but do you think your alone or the top ?
Aussies do not want any of that there and therefore USA is the next stop in that area as even Canada has a strict policy.
Millions also try to get to Europe, FYI for 2005 Europe had 1.8 million immigrants, 85% of the whole population growth and 2008 a little over 1 million got a citizenship in USA.
But the Issue is We´ve had it enough overhere, we do not think the solution for an immigrant is to come to a strange enviroment and culture and make it hard to immigrate unless you´re skilled and can show you can support yourself.
So we rather pay (taxes) to keep ourselves nonimmigrant and help the poor ba$tards...

Bad part of this is the US is getting more and more underdeveloped people to face the grim truth of a blue collar worker nowadays in US.
Plus all the race issues.

Got that right about the human spirit, drive and determination but thats not an American virtue it´s global so America is in for a hard attitude change like it or not as the race is on.

Scared yes...scared to use those and scared of a couple terrorists....
So they are useless.

Thats correct...

For Examply the Swedish town Malmö is getting 100% muslim... and the Hell Angels headquarter in Scandinavia....only ones that are non muslim justabout...

They granted the first mosque in our town this fall..the building isn´t developed yet.

We just deny their rights for citizenship or staying permissions.
FYI we are one of the most strict countries to immigrate in Europe to.
The state funded help goes to foreign aid mostly thru UN and Red Cross.
And not forgetting the St:Peterburgs water refinement systems plus other programs to clean up the Baltic..

The report takes note of the coordination shortcomings of the various donors in Afghanistan and suggests that this is an area where the EU, and Finland as a member state, could have a stronger role.

The report recommends that Finland should more firmly support international pressure to remove corrupt high-level Afghan officials from office. Finland should also more actively look for innovative solutions
