Pics From St. Pete 3/28

It was big cat water. There were 4 boats actually made it to lunch AND back to the Vinoy. Two were 43 Nor-tech cats from Canada (Rob Weber in Cat'astrophe and Luciani/Lang's Lawrason's). The other cat was Jim Lee in the 46 Skater Freedom US-1. Bill Taylor in his very wet 47 Fountain fulfilled his duties as pace boat and made the entire circuit as well. There were 4 other boats that managed to make it to lunch but decided not to drive back to St. Petes. Rough, rough water that day.

Jim probably never lifted the throttles either & then complained it wasn't windy enough. That guy is not right!:sifone:

The girls toughed it out... Quic Chic had her butt kicked but its sure was heck of a run.. Rougher than I wanted- but the thought to turn around didnt occur to me at all. We had to hang tough.. The only thing I broke was a finger nail.. lol.. Andy Davis my Crew chief and head mechanic kicked butt on making sure the boat was ready and set up just right for the run... Of all the races from the past with the 42 fountain- this poker run was the roughest and the boat ran the best.. Looks like I should have hired him many events ago!! But this quic chic was excited to make it to the lunch stop and the 2nd boat to get there.. Yeah Yahh it was a blast and was just nice to be back on the water...and boy did we get wet. but fun as heck. ...The MTI Corvette was the first to get to lunch with the Quic Chics beside him... V Bottom Hull just ran great with those MTI..s Angela sure did a great job with me!! Until next time c ya in the water..Lisa

Who was throttling the MTI corvette ?? Randy S.??

Is it a 43 Cat, or the Quad 39 V?

I traded my 3 year old 43 Cat and got the new 44 Quad V just last month.

Wanted something to use both at home where I live on the water AND in Cape Coral all winter.

Different boating ...way different speed ....just as much fun for both myself and those on board that don't need 150 mph to enjoy the day.

So, were both your old boat and new boats there last weekend?

Yep both there

My old boat 43 CAT is now owned by a Canadian ( Rob Webber )

from the DOUBLE R group of boaters. He has 2 Nortech Cats now. 1 for home and this one for Florida.

Good guy and a hard runner.

One of the few that stayed out in the slop .

Nothing broke in either boat which made me feel good.
