Paint gone wrong

I'll tell ya what.... There's so much time and effort that goes into a paint job and they're a true work of art no matter what your preference but like everything else, things change and things that are cool today are not cool tomorrow...

Kind of like Pink Apache's and the new multi-color crayola boats of the present! ;)

It is delaminating terribly at and below the water line. It will cost too much money to restore it to it's original paint.

We will keep certain attributes from the original scheme on the new one, but will have an updated scheme in the next 2 to 3 years.

That's too bad.

The good news is I can now pick on Apaches with Stinson....:sifone:

Man, I hate to post a response like this.

But, as a boat owner, if I found my boat shown on the this thread. I would be somewhat P.O.'d.

I know it's all in good fun... But, to each his own.

I, for one, can certainly appreciate that.
But, anyone on here that decides on some of these paint jobs should be secure enough in themselves to take a little ribbing.
It's all in good fun, and I'd be damn proud to own some of these boats that are deemed ugly - not because I like the paint, but because I like the boat itself.
Hell, I'd be pretty stylin' if I was rolling in "Pimp of the Nation" just for notoriety sake, and I'd be capable of laughing it off and enjoying the joke myself.
