That is just plain wrong on SO many levels!

I can only imagine how phucked the interior and helm are if they did that to the hull.

Well, that's a pretty close estimate. The 27 Maltese Magnum design, that did so well in the US, was illegal in Europe because of the "cabin" rule. So, hence the cabin on the Magnum Cabin Boat to meet the cabin and deckhouse rule. They may have used the same rules in the Bahamas race, I don't know. But have some feelers out to see if any of the other guys know for sure.
