Cabbie arrested on DUI charge
KEY WEST — A 47-year-old taxi driver found passed out behind the wheel Tuesday night in a fire lane near a New Town restaurant was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk, according to police.

Mark William Kaade of Key West was charged with misdemeanor DUI and felony possession of pills without a prescription.
 
I think he'll get off in court. He took a cab cause he'd been drinking. Isn't that what they tell you to do?

KEY WEST — A man told police on Wednesday that someone left a piece of paper in his car that “alluded to his Bernie (Sanders) bumper sticker and him possibly being a socialist,” according to an incident report.

There were no suspects or any arrests reported.

The note stated the author “loved the car, but not the bumper sticker
 
If he has a Bernie sticker on his car, I'm guessing he borrowed the car from his parents and put the bumper sticker on without their knowledge.....

Man arrested for disturbance on bridge
SUNSHINE KEY — A 22-year-old man from Knoxville, Tennessee was arrested early Thursday after causing a disturbance on the Seven Mile Bridge, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Fortune Odendhal was charged with disorderly intoxication.
 
Man armed with garden hoe robs restaurant
KEY WEST — A homeless man high on crack accused of robbing the Sunshine Grill on White Street with a garden hoe early Friday morning was arrested after being chased by employees, according to police.

Robert Paul Pryor, 62, was charged with felony robbery with a weapon, battery, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Naked wanted woman arrested for hitting deputy
KEY LARGO — A woman wanted for contempt of court regarding a stalking case answered her door nude and then threatened to kill arresting deputies, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Kim Larman, 53, of Key Largo, was charged with the warrant as well as battery on a law enforcement officer, making threats against a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

'Party package' lands man in jail
KEY WEST — The party will have to wait for one Arizona tourist.

A 24-year-old man accused of mailing a package to himself at a local hotel which contained crystal methamphetamine, a pipe and, for some reason, socks was arrested Wednesday, according to police.

Robert Dean Bare, of Bullhead City, Arizona, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
