How did he get in? Did he ride the storm out there?

Brooks can't get any info yet on his place on Key Colony.

Our place in Port Charlotte has zero issues. A couple palm fronds and a couple fence boards.

Bobcat rode the storm out which is why we want to know if he is OK. Brooks survived relatively unscathed. I'll send pics as soon as they allow us down to Cudjoe.

Your friend saw Brooks' house?

I chatted with Bobcat shortly before the storm hit. He thought his location would be fine. It was multiple stories on the highest part of the island.

He had not only put up the storm shutters, (he was up on a 28' ladder earlier). But had screwed in 2x6's over the storm shutters.

The last time I talked to him he was bored and watching movies waiting for the storm to hit.....

His van was parked outside because the island was high there.

Ok, my neighbor did not ride the storm out but is part of rescue/recovery team is how he was able to see the damages. Looks like I, like Brooks came away with only tree damages. My place is on the right in pic. Boat and lift are OK too.

Just heard from Bobcat!!

He has cold beer, generator running, and direct tv. He's doing well!!

Just got off the phone with him. Publix is now open and he was able to buy more beer and coffee.

He did go up to his place and it's still there, not to badly damaged.

He did say there were thieves riding around on quads looting......

I like the AR round for thieves on ATVs if you do not want the ATV. Hit them once or twice in the thigh and let them keep riding. They will be out of play and out of your AO shortly. Now, if you want the ATV, I like the AK round or perhaps .308. You can knock the looter off of the ATV and keep it. BUT, you have to dig the hole for the looter, so the ATV comes at a price.
