Dropped off the Van Yesterday at 12:30, said it be done by 5 PM....Well it's 11:48 the following day and it isn't done, and He's done a bunch of stuff I didn't ask for..

Nope, local idiot. I told the Guy before He started that We had ten high mileage Vehicles, and that We were always looking for a good Mechanic.
He changed out the plugs and wires and distributor cap, all were less than a Year old. Now My electronics are funky, cannot open the rear hatch, and
have no trip/mileage computer. Going to check the Fuses this Morning.
Comcast is so slow this Morning that I can't even check My Comcast Email account.

A stupid person could interpret that as you aren't coming back either way.
Try this next time: "We are looking for a new mechanic. The last guy is in rehab."
Then softly "serves the mutherf*cker right." When they say "what?" Answer "What? Nothing." And then smile and ask how soon it will be done.

We had a good Mechanic, but He neglected His Diabetes and can no longer see well enough to work.
Had a blown fuse on the Hatch, but My Trip Computer is intermittent , and showing Me only getting 12 MPG .
Putting the new Leaf Springs on Today Myself.

I'll look into it Charlie. I'm beginning to wonder if this last guy even did anything to the truck.
After 20 Years in the same Apartment, I gotta move in 2 Months....getting a little sticker shock...so glad I didn't pick up a Project Boat this Fall.
So far everything I have found open is twice as much per Month as what I have been paying for the last 6 Years.
I'll look into it Charlie. I'm beginning to wonder if this last guy even did anything to the truck.

Yep, Landlords Wife took over....They want to remodel and get $2000 + a Month out of this place...and they'll get it.

I hope the poor guy doesn't end up living in a rotted out 1985 Wellcraft Monte Carlo with one poorly running engine moored out behind Home Depot.

I was blown away by weekly home rentals in our town. People gave up on monthly rentals and rent by the week. Far more income. I tell people we are little Key West of the north. Three bars on each corner and the park by the river fill up with people at sunset. Even in the winter. Last night there were people taking pics at the park at sunset.
