I like Oklahoma so much that I spent 3 Hours on the side of the road here!!!!
The only Hiccup on the way was hitting Miami Turnpike at 5:45 AM...it was already a gridlock....My GPS routed Me through Atlanta because of the
Tropical Storm in the Gulf....and later Memphis at 4AM
At about 1400 Miles into the trip , O-rings on the bracket above the Oil Filter let go...I thought the Filter had come loose, as Oil was pouring out in that location...
14 quarts and 3 Filters later I gave up and had it towed 12 Miles to Shawnee Oklahoma.....Tow Truck Guy/Owner Has a house on Marco Island...
We shot the sh*t about the Keys....and then He dropped me and the Van off to an quick change oil place and only charged Me $80 for it...
in Florida You'd be looking at a cool $400 to $500....Guy at the Shop fixes it at 5 PM on Friday afternoon with His Kids waiting on Him for $109
Neither would accept a $20 tip....These Folks rock....Staying at a Bare Bones Motel 6....and I mean no fridge, Micro or shampoo!!!!!!
I'm still 40 minutes from the place I need to pick up the Mixer...hopefully they're open tomorrow so's I can haul ass back through Missouri and Illinois
and see some of My Family and Friends.
