BAM. Boyne Thunder and Boyne City Main Street representatives presented checks to two charities at Tuesday's Boyne City Commission meeting. "We are very honored today to present checks to Camp Quality in the amount of $56,625.28 and to Challenge Mountain in the amount of $10,300.42," said Bob Alger, Boyne Thunder Committee Chair. "We are proud to be able to support the great work that they do."
Pictured from left are Main Street Executive Director Lori Meeder, Camp Quality executive director Kristyn Balog, Bob Alger, and Challenge Mountain executive director Elizabeth Looze. Meeder told the City Commission that "Boyne Thunder 2015 was another resounding success. Total revenue and boater participation in 2015 was up 10% over prior year." Based on a survey of the 108 participants, there were many wonderful comments about the event - with the common theme being the welcoming nature of the people and the community. "I would like to acknowledge the dedicated volunteers who literally provide thousands of hours of work to pull off this extraordinary event," Meeder said. "I would also like to thank Bob Alger for his thoughtful and steady leadership of this event. He keeps all the pieces and parts of this moving forward in a flawless manner throughout the year and I am amazed by his dedication."

Another one of these "sealer" guys. I thought the tile guy was trying to rip me off, so when he suggested grout sealer I kicked him out and told him not to come back.
First it was tile, then it was mortar, then it was grout.... I wasn't born yesterday. Pretty soon you have paid 3 or 4 hundred bucks for 200 square feet of tile.
Next you will tell me I need "tile conditioner."

You may need to get a life time tile sealer package and additional insurance on it to protect you from slipping and missing work also! Did they set you up with a meeting with the F&I department?

Sealer costs about $10 , and keeps the grout from staining when You spill sumpin on it...

You should be happy I didn't go with

Grout, grout, grout it all out...these are the things I'm grouting about, c'mon, I'm talking to You c'mon

Supposed to be meeting My Dakota Folks for Happy Hour...but it is rainin' like heck...and I'm too cheap for a cab ( I could be a Dentist in Charlevoix)

Yes. I have been using it for years. I was screwing with you. :) The "tile guy" is actually a long time boating buddy/family in-law. Hooked me up on price pretty good. 200 square feet in two rooms. 220 tiles. 200 pounds of mortar, and two bags of grout. $850. I picked up the materials and did the demo of the old. I really like how he laid out the field. I can do tile, but he is much better and faster, and I can go to work while he tiles.

You should be happy I didn't go with

I am pretty sure you just did.

I am cheap enough to be a dentist in Charlevoix. But like you, I lack the girly hands to be able to get in and out of people's mouths easily and efficiently without breaking stuff on accident.

We did a Saltillo Tile job for a friend about ten years ago( Mexican Terra Cotta, with one inch grout lines) Told Him not to spill anything on it, as We would be back the next day to seal it....He's from Georgia, and fries everything...spilled a skillet of grease on it...Had to grind it all out ...He's a Psychologist...So at the Bar We call Him the Nut Doctor...Good to have a-hole Friends , No?

I think I am going to get away with sanding this stain before I seal.

As far as A hole friends go, it's just Tracy. But yes, wonderful. :)

(Had to Tracy, you know I did.)
