I have thought about shutting off cable. I don't have too much time for TV, and what I do watch, I could get off-air. I used to watch Discovery and History but everything has become reality shows. Even the Weather Channel... you used to be able to get the weather. Now you go for the weather and you get storm stories or something.

Breaking down sucks!!! Was reading an article on what our doctors make in BC. Since our health insurance is government, what Dr's bill our insurance is public record. Since private insurance is not allowd and neither is individual billing, its accurate on what a Dr gets per year from billing. My Dad's Dr billed $327K last year. Seems like a lot but he still has to pay rent, staff, and other expenses. Bet it doesn't leave much for the Dr.

Gee, doesn't that cause less people to become doctors and reduce the amount of available health care over time?

Hi Ho's! Its Friday, fish n chips day for me. Have a new Walmart opening today about 7 minutes from my house. Feel so small town minded that I want to go and check it out.
Especially true for rural areas. A lot move to the states because they can make a better living. I was wrong about direct billing, they can if you don't have insurance in the province or don't present your insurance card. But its a max of $60. Most doctors here offer walk in no appointment clinics to boost their patient numbers.
