BAMM!

Mornin Ho's!:seeya:

High of 73.....Nice mowing weather. Since it is the dry season, today's mow should last a month or so....gives the fire ants time to rebuild their nests.

.gives the fire ants time to rebuild their nests.[/QUOTE]

ever try putting orthoboric acid (as a powder) down the ant hills? - destroys the microbes responsible for digestion in ants and they starve to death.

I have to mow about 5 acres spread out over ten acres (splotchy weeds) just too many fire ant hills to do anything other than run em over with the mower !

It was actually 77 degrees.....(I sweated like a Naples Image child pornographer under questioning from the man)

Beer thirty in KW !:drool5:

Visited my great aunt this afternoon. She is almost 90 and is pretty good healthwise despite being a smoker. Gave up her car a few years ago and moved into a condo in downtown Vancouver. She now wants to sell the condo and move into an assisted living home. Since our healthcare covers senior care they decide when and where you go. The government has said no to letting her go into a home. Welcome to socialist Canada!

If it's happening up your way, it can't be too far behind in Oregon

Afternoon Ho's!:seeya:

Finally got a check in the mail for all the tile work I'm doing.....I'm afraid to open it......if it is an out of state bank it could take up to 4 weeks to clear (South Florida.....scam capitol of the USA)
I just sent them another invoice today.....

It takes our checks 4 weeks to clear when we deposit to our American bank from Canada. I expect it to take that long, so if its needed right away I just put in cash. I'm still sort of surprised that I can deposit Canadian checks in US banks.

Don't get me started on cutting tree's. My city has a by law on it. You need a permit to cut down a tree and in most cases you havee to plant another to replace the one you chopped. My city is run by tree hugging liberals!

Interesting video John. My trees were dead so I won't be shedding any tears. Ponch, when I lived in Lake Oswego, we had similarly tough tree cutting laws. The headline in the local paper after a guy cut down a few trees just prior to annexation into the city read "MURDER ON MADRONA STREET". When it comes down to it, I've really got a foot in each camp or perhaps I'm pragmatic. I'm not for denuding the forests and putting up endless subdivisions and strip mall nor am I for extremist liberal policies that have silly ramifications. I'm for intelligent and enlightened stewardship over our resources, and that's going to mean different thing in different situations.

Those hippies would make a nice Pig slurry.:reddevil:

We have tough tree laws here, but we need them. If you cut down a tree you have to plant so many new ones according to size and species. My friends just had to take down a 150+ year old Mahogany because it was completely hollow in its base, and was very dangerous in their backyard. They have 6 months to plant 8 indigenous trees.
