you should heed the alarm warning. None of the gauges look like merc stuff? every 2 stroke should have a water pressure gauge. You can not troubleshoot overheating on a hose. Probably weak water pump. or failing head gasket or o ring. I hope its the water pump. WHen did it last get one?

Sorry Jim, I neglected to mention it's a Johnson 225 2004 with less than 500 Hours....It was P*ssing like Normal.

Drained the Gearcase Oil...Not pretty...Going to change the Impeller next.

I could share many stories of how expensive it can be to cut alarm wire. One story in particular first comes to mind. It was an inboard boat. Owner didn't realize the alarm was alerting him to transmission overheating. He saw good oil pressure, saw good water temp and silenced his alarm. It was quite a to do to haul and block his boat, remove his engine and replace his v drive transmission. Ouch!

Got My new Computer delivered Yesterday....Wrong one...Not even close to style or price...about $200 difference...:mad:

It was. I had the Jumbo Shrimp Basket .

Took off both Thermostats on the Outboard.....Full of Salt...New ones coming .
