6D8DFBAA-E021-4968-ABBB-4CD85870CC0D.jpeg Had a great day at Torch. This is a picture of my Father bottom right. Cousin posted this on FB. My Uncle Dee(middle) passed and his funeral is Tuesday. Top left is my Grandpa. He was part of the Big red one in WWI. He was shot in a battle. Lost one lung and several ribs. We have a western union letter stating he was dead. Six weeks later they sent a new letter to his parents telling them he was alive found in a French hospital. He lived into his mid 70’s and fathered 4 children.

Shirley would be my Mother. The three siblings in the picture are my Dad, Sally and the Mom is sister Joann. All three died of cancer by their 70’s. The youngest brother Larry not in pic died at age 57. And that is why I have spent all my retirement money boating. Life is short/ have fun! Happy Memorial Day!

Wow, that had to be a shocker. Thanks to him for his service. :USA:

Did you ever get a chance to chat with him about the war?

No, I was little when he passed away. We have a picture frame in the office with his Purple Heart and the bullet hooked to it that they removed from his lung. Stop by during Boyne Thunder and I will take you thru the museum.
