Concealed Weapons Class Tonight....but it goes from 6-10... I cain't stay up that late....$80

I did mine all in one day on a Saturday. $100 included lunch and qualifying guns/ammo. The guy teaches in Ohio and Florida.

Anywho... a word on snubbies... if you like to shoot the snubbie, carry the snubbie. I carried a 642 for a year and switched to a compact 7 round 9mm. With one in pipe makes 8. They weigh about the same. BUT. Here's the thing... because the ammo is carried in the grip of a semi-auto, it is top heavy and feels much heavier to carry. The "magazine" of my revolver is at the belt line and center of the weapon. Much better balance. I had to get a better gunbelt just to carry a compact 9mm. Wants to tip outward. The balance sucks. Even with a good holster and good belt. Something to think about. (The 9mm is much easier to be accurate with.)

Definitely looking at snubbies...I think My Dealer has the S&W Featherweight for $400. I need something that won't pull Me pants down.

If you get it, (And I think it's a great gun coming off of a year wearing a super light J frame) get the LG-350 crimson trace grip.

Then you can at least aim it. The factory sights are a groove and a post. Worthless. And these cover the backstrap and cut the felt recoil noticeably. Doesn't change the concealment equation. It totally changed the gun for me. It became shootable. Other than the trigger. Mine has a performance center trigger but it is still 12 pounds. No grit. (I guess, it is pretty smooth but it is the only one I have fired.)

What I am carrying today has a 5.5 pound striker trigger. I'm sucking up the perceived weight for the trigger but when it gets hot I'm sure I will switch it up. Gets three thumbs up for a carry gun though: Ruger LC9s. It may be the perfect single stack 9mm. I tried them all. I expected to buy the G43. But no. Very shootable with factory sights. Zero regrets. This would be the one I will travel with. I will eventually put tritium sights on it and forgo any kind of laser. The snubbie is good for the ATM but with this you could have a slim chance in hell against an idiot pulling a snack bar in a public place. :USA:

Hey Bobcat, did I hear right that the Obama administration is ending "Wet foot, dry foot" and Cubans are going back instead of automatic path to citizenship?
I don't know all the implications, but thought you might. You are closer to Cuba than Alaskans are to Russia. :)

If I were in Miami, everyone would be talking about it I'm sure.

30 Years too late:rofl:

Just another shot by 0webama to disenfranchise the rest of the DNC Voting base. He just turned Miami into a Republican stronghold.
