Official... raise your post count thread!!

And just because a person tells an officer they have a permit to carry when a cop spots a bulge or gun, doesn't make the cop feel any safer. It's easy to lie and easy to carry a forged permit.

I'm with Fund. I will not move unless directed sounds really good. If the guy did it wrong, by reaching close to his gun and not following the protocol taught in classes, may actually make the cop less likely to believe the guy had a legitimate carry license.

This reminds me of something else. (Not to keep beating this topic but...) They also told us that anybody who drives our cars has to follow the disclosure procedure also, because the CHL is attached to the registration of the car and comes up as soon as they run the plate. I have four cars, when I let somebody drive one, I always tell them they have to do the 10 and 2, roll down window, get over as far as possible, and say "the owner of this vehicle has a carry permit but there are no weapons at this time."

If a cop spots a bulge, I have a problem. Because if you are printing, you are not concealing. I have her watch to make sure. Those who know me know I am not exactly small, but I have a hell of a time concealing anything larger than a .380 or a snubbie 38. I don't understand how these folks can carry a .45 or a big glock. They gave us a booklet that shows how to spot someone carrying, and we use that information backwards to make sure we don't stand out. I know I stop swinging my right arm when walking, subconsciously protecting the weapon, so I work on that. Once you know what to look for, it's actually pretty easy to get "tells."

Anyway... this isn't the subject for everyone, and I'll let it go.

On the larger issue of Cleveland, I'm still praying that cooler heads prevail throughout the convention.

BAMM!

That would be a set back on that news. You do remember the Beavers real name was Mathers. I think those two could be brothers. Just saying!
