Just gave a guy a $2 an hour raise...He repaid that by getting drunk on the job, and passing out behind the Dumpster(where everyone pisses) Fun times !

Going up this afternoon to look at another Company Van in Key Largo...Chevy Astro..taking a mechanic, pics look nice...but after talking to the people, they come across as a little skeezy.

Got it for $2500.

Needs a new power window motor on the passenger side, and a tune up. It tracks straight down the road ,and has good brakes, interior is perfect.....stereo ain't too bad neither.

Found a window motor online for $27, $38 after shipping and handling, or for $44 bucks over the counter at Advance Auto...I think I'll pay the extra $ to get instant gratification.

It stops and starts, I'll check for a bad connection, the electric lock doesn't work on that door either...

After I finished Tiling (for the day) I took advantage of the shade provided by the Stilt House , and changed the plugs, and plug wires in the Van....Holy crap that was a 4 hour job.

I had to take apart the interior to get to the back of the motor...then jack up the front end, remove both wheels and splash guards....two of the old plug wires were not even connected.

The back left plug had to be taken out with rubber tipped pliers( and reinserted) as it was right up against the frame...brake pads and rotors looked good, and the undercarriage is spotless...not a Florida truck. Still has a bit of a stutter when Idling..next up , injection cleaner.

By the way, I took it to Advance Auto Parts, and they ran a free scan beforehand.

Enjoy the new van.
My brother had an AWD Astro for his work van.
Overloaded the $hi+ out of that thing for a few years.
Still has it in the barn.
He says it sounds like a rod knock now.

I like it so far. Found some leaf spring add ons that will allow another 800 pounds of cargo....and some Blaupunkt Woofers:cool:
