Nor-Tech Fire

everybody relax, It was a 50 Nortech , The previous owner traded it for my newer 50, the boat was kept very nice by Steve,Steve had an open checkbook on this boat. He spent 20k on the stereo and had it professionally installed, the boat ran great, . The new owner was a very well off nice guy who got a great deal, the motors were innovation 650's and were rebuilt not blown up. boat went to lake Travis. the boat had the stereo and electronics stolen and tampered with when it caught fire, nothing to do with the boat, again a bunch of people commenting without knowing the facts.

Ok..so this one guy owns a boat, trades it for the same boat but newer, who sells it to someone else, who puts in the massive stereo(professionally installed of course) who sells it to some other guy Who has a boatload of money, who then sends it to some other lake to get the good engines rebuilt (but he got a great deal) and then the boat spontaneously combusts because some juvenile delinquent stole the stereo but didn't turn the battery switches off first...but, hey... it's not the boats fault....

Which part of this was not supposed to confuse us and cause people to speculate just what The hell happened??? :03:

*EDIT* Are you sure it wasn't an Apache?????

Hello Jim. Goodbye Jim.:seeya:

I don't know what JD is talking about but the boat was tied up next to me at a poker run here in Clear Lake and blew an engine on the ride back. I know cause I have Jello shot stains on my upholstery from the party going on it.:26: It was a great party boat. It burned after the engines were repaired at our mechanic's shop. It was parked behind my marina on a trailer next to mechanic's shop waiting to be picked up when the fire happened.I saw the boat up close several times and it was very rough under the wrap and most of the rigging and engines were in poor shape. I think the owner bought the boat sight unseen. I am pretty sure he broke the first motor, had it repaired and then broke the 2nd one and either was waiting for repair or had just been repaired. They were not being re-built. It did not happen at Lake Travis.
