NNRT Offshore Classics

We actually had more than 3 boats. I'll try to give the full lineup but the older I get the worse my memory is.:)

30 Chris Cat - Smokey and the Bandit
21 Superboat - Smokey and the Bandit
24 Skater - Renegade
41 Apache - Apache Bandit (the banner boat)
39 Conquest - Smokey and the Bandit

I'm sure I am forgetting a boat or two.

Plus all of the trucks and pit scooters. We had a lot of fun back then. My father was the money behind it all and I was just a young punk kid that got to race boats on dads dime. Dad got into a bit of.........we'll call it trouble. The money was gone and so was the racing.

What were the colors of the Banner Apache when you had it?

And which Banner Apache was it? There were two, correct?

Ours was the original. The only change made to the paint was adding "Bandit" in front of Apache. The boat was purchased directly from Ben Kramer in 1986.

This was the only boat my Dad raced. I think it was the only one that Kurt felt safe with my Dad driving :D

I'll help if I can. Still hoping Pete can find pix of my 24 Skater and 21 Superboat. I lost all pix of those in a basement flood.

Hi unfortunately we do not have any slides in the NNRT collection I bought of your 24 Skater or 21 Superboat. When I bought the 1300 slides from Phil he did say that these where all that they saved. There must have been more cause I have seen photos with the NNRT logo that I do not have slides for, I wish they saved them all.

By the way we live very close to each other in NJ.

The Superboat

I don't think this is a Superboat , maybe Smokeybandit can confirm

Definitely not a Superboat. Can't recall what this one was but it was before we came on the scene. That one was all Kurt.

IN THE 1978 GUY LUMBARDO CLASSIC IN FREEPORT NY. "SMOKEY AND BANDIT" A 27 FOOT MAGNUM, WAS THE FIRST BOAT TO PUT KURT'S MARRINE ON THE MAP! PHOTO BY PHIL LEWIS From Darren http://darrensoffshorephotos.homestead.com/the80s2.html
