The first one is the picture of the Cigarette hawk flying that's Catalina in the back ground from the 79 race. the second was the picture of the Gentry Eagle white and red its the same boat that Don Johnson raced in 1988 that had the white and gold paint job, And last are the two Lambo powered 43 Scarabs the red one and a white one that Don Johnson also raced. That's is Catalina Island in the back ground that's the 79 race out of Newport Beach CA

Yes its the same boat just a different paint job and new drives it was the first race boat to win a championship with the Keikhaefer Stern Drives. We are in the process of restoring it for a customer here in CA.

the red boat was built for Mercury in 86 as a test platform for the Lambo power it was destroyed in an accident and the white boat was built in 87 as a race boat.

Which paint scheme are you restoring it to, red or black?

And with Gentry engines?
 
final paint.jpgWe are restoring it to the paint scheme it run in the 1988 worlds, White with Gold lower and big Gentry on the sides and yes 3 twin turbo original Gentry race motors.

This is not the 30 this is the 37. There is a picture of the 30 in this thread post #159

Here is some info on the 37 from Rich Luhrs
"It was the plug for the 37' Chris Cat that we built at Conquest. It was made for a few test runs and not for racing . It was very fast and competitive with a light bow ( not built to race) . Chris Craft had financial and political issues at that point and abandoned the project."

So, in September 1986:

September 7 - Guernsey, England Peter Stuyvesant
September 10 - Rochester, New York Coca Cola Race. The one where Bobby Saccenti got hurt so bad.
September 20 - Portofino, Italy grand Prix
September 23 - San Francisco, California
September 27 - Miami, Florida Apache Offshore Grand Prix
September 28 - Shodo-Shima, Japan

None of those races mention the boat in Searace.
