Bertram actually pioneered the idea of a long narrow big power offshore boat, Aronow just did a better job promoting it. Connor was a good skipper, but the design guys are the ones that have brought all the innovation to sailboating. Kevlar, carbon fiber, bukkake, you name it.

I have always thought it would be a really good idea for them to build a line that appealed more to the masses. Keep the offshore fast stuff but also branch out into using the name to market a big, extremely fast and exotic sailboat, maybe some canoes, kayaks and ski boats. Really, the brand itself is what sells and everyone knows that guys who buy Cigarettes are in it for the name because otherwise they would buy a Fountain. A cigarette branded canoe could sell for twice a normal canoe and it will hold its value for years to come just like the boats.
