Miss Geico Racing Special Shoutout of Thanks

The Miss Geico Racing Team has kicked in a special payout for the Randy Lineback Light House trophy for sportsmanship, which was established in honor of an outstanding racer. The recipient is chosen each year from the votes of all racers in the Biloxi Smokin' the Sound event. This is the highest honor any racer can receive from his peers. This year, for the very first time, the winner will receive a $1000 check in honor of the achievement.

Miss Geico Racing, in honor of the others who came to participate at this event, has also given another $4000 to the event organizers to split evenly among the other teams who are here in attendance.

It is outstanding to see the premier offshore race team give to those others who try so hard to make the sport a success.

Miss Geico had one heck of a weekend. Saturday they won the first heat of the Run Whatcha Brung class, barely limping across the line ahead of SOS Venezuela. They had to change a motor Saturday night to run the second heat on Sunday. They were able to do the parade lap and get a start, but then lost the motor on one side again and had to pull out on the first lap. Overall though, with the first and 6th place finishes they were able to finish third with the combined points and take home a check for $6000 that may pay for about 10% of one motor......

Still a great team to be around as they love the sport and you can see the smile on Dave's face above when they presented him with the check for $1000 as the winner of the Randy Linebach award.....
