Hey Wrink....what was the name of the hotel that the FPC had the party at last year, when we finally met? I was thinking it was the Ritz or the Raleigh, possibly. It seemed like a very nice hotel.

For you out of towners....."the Ritz" is NOT the Ritz Carlton. It is a dumpy hotel next to the Delano that tries to play off the Delano's art deco reputation. The Delano is cool but not 1K a night cool in my opinion....Stayed there one year, stayed at the Biltmore in Coral Gables another year (graduated from Univ. of Miami so know the area well). Biltmore is a $40 cab ride from South Beach but you can do other stuff in Coral Gables during the day.....

We are getting a 2bd, completely renovated condo on ocean front right in the hub of it all for like $170/nt.

There are some great deals - but if you are not too familiar with the different resorts, how do you choose? Any recommendations?

We are booked for 3 nights at the Surfcomber on the beach by the Convention Center for the weekend then move to the Marriott Biscayne Bay /Sea Isle until poker run departure on Thursday. See U there! :cheers2:

I stayed at this Ritz about 4 years ago. Convenient is the only positive thing to say about it.
