May go cheap

Looks like the price has jumped up quite a bit on it. But from what I see, i dont know if I would put this in the "project" boat category. Am i missing something? Sure, it needs motors and exhaust, and some drives to get on the water. There are plenty of good "takeout" deals around for engines/drives.

To me, a project boat is a boat that has been gutted, and missing pieces, in need of wiring, rigging, fuel tanks, etc. Sometimes buying a boat without power may have its adavantage if the deals right. Me personally, I'd rather buy something that "I" can put fresh power in from the get go, rather than buy something thats "complete" and paying "complete" for the boat, only to have to go thru the motors that are tired right after the purchase. I suppose it can be looked at lots of ways. How many guys buy a complete running boat for 75k, thats worth 75k in the book, then 6 months later end up dropping another 20-30k freshening thier power.

Project can be a broad term but no power/drives/props are three pretty important items..... Boat shows some torn interior so that could get expensive if you re-do all of it. Then you could find all the stuff that doesn't work like trim pumps/gauges etc. I totally agree with you on paying all the money only to blow it up later vs. putting in your own fresh power.

To me a it is a project. If you can't get it running/boating in the first weekend you have it home then it is a project. Changing exhaust or batteries/starter wouldn't be classified a project. Anything more than a weekend of wrenching is a project.

kinda of dumb to own a boat and the expenses that go along with boat ownership when your kids are doing activities -sports every weekend

Don't worry bro...you can still ride with me!

Wow, everyone on here seems to have Champagne tastes and a 6-pack of Schlitz checkbook!!!! Everyone wants to knock the value of every boat but not step up and buy a boat!!!! For one, the number one selling drive on Fountains, Donzis, Formulas, Cigarettes for the majority of the last 10-15 years has been the bravo and that is boats up to 42 feet with twins and trips up to over 50 feet. I understand that there are applications where it does not make sense but we are talking a market of survival where there is good "value" out there and people can boat on a budget. At the end of the day, being on the water is what counts and last time I checked not everyone can go out and buy a $250k+ boat let alone the $800k price tags that is being discussed on another site!!! Hope someone can make this work for an application that makes sense for them. Good luck selling Scott, it is going to make someone a nice boat for potentially around $50-$60k.

I am fine with the Bravo Ones with nosecones that are on my boat.

He just loves busting my stones dude. He is way to skoold and edumencated to not understand my lifes priorities right now. You only have the pleasure of them for a few select years so they make a lot of the choices for that small period of time. I have a wife and rest of my life to hopefully enjoy boating and other sports when it will start over teaching my grandkids the pleasures and enjoyment of such activities. In the mean time, hope some stop busting others dreams of being a true boater. Some think it takes a boat when in reality it takes heart and spirit and not just on a keyboard.

we always took the kid with us from day 1 boating . she played sports , some in the sumer and some in the cooler months . we started out in open engine jet boats with exposed headers to our current boat which is a 35 Lightning. many many boats in between of all shaps and sizes .
