Let’s get in shape

I've been going to the gym 4 times per week since November. I run 5-6 miles each time I go and lift three days a week. No beer during the week (NONE :( ). No real written diet change, but going to the gym usually causes me to make better choices in what I eat. I did learn the hard way that I need to stay hydrated on days that I'm going to work out. Passing out at the gym sucks!!:ack2::sifone:

I haven't lost a pound....but my clothes are starting to fit better. ;):cheers2:

Most of your brown/clear liquors will be between 60-80 calories for an 1 oz and have zero carbs. It's the sweet and thick alcohol and sodas/juices that add the calories /carbs(Bailey's, Amaretto etc.)

When I low carbed I drank clear liquor with soda and a lime or Crystal Lite. Then I just started drinking them (Grey Goose; Kettle--the better vodkas) on the rocks with 3 ollives please.:)

I mostly drink Crown over ice, or with a splash of Diet 7 up or diet coke.

Yeah, I am not worried about what the scale says. It's gonna be a big number either way. :D
Agreed on the better choices. I have made sure to excercise the last two days and I already don't want to waste the effort. I was thing yellowfin tuna tonight. :D
And broccoli. :26:

For sure I have joined a club and working out 2x's daily
Morning is just some cardio to get things going and afternoon is cadio, core training, and full body. Core training is helping very much with sense of balance and whole body strength. Check out Mens Health magazine. There are some great tips there.
Also Wii fit, that thing will kick your ass!

So is this going to be the SOS weightloss support group?

All of you get off your azzes and move! Il admit, Im a scrawny fuk and have probably the worst possible diet known to man, but my ADD keeps me moving all the time. If nothing else, working out will make you feel better. I reccently spent a few months doing some rigorous training on an eliptical along with medium weights to get my lungs in shape for a spearfishing trip. After a few weeks of mild workouts I had explosive energy and felt great, hell I even drank beer while working out. It can be done, you just need the proper motivation, ;)

It sounds kind of gay when he puts it that way. "SOS weightloss support group" I mean, not as gay as suggesting men's health magazine, but still....

:D

OK, OK, The Serious Offshore Beergut reduction team. "Bringin sexy back 30 min. of Vice at a time".

I've been trying to cut carbs and it's been working pretty well. As a matter of fact, I decided to drink Vodka while watching the superbowl. Problem is, after half a fifth of Vodka, it's pretty easy to decide to switch to beer and drink another 10 of those...

41 and just had two stents installed in the ticker - that'll give ya some motivation. Got the tread mill back from the ex - she's walkin the dogs every day so she doesn't need it. 30 minutes in the morning at least 4 days a week is helping get the cardio goin. At the dealership we had a health fair recently and told the employees if they attend the local 24hr fitness 15 days a month we would pay for it. Also looking into purchasing our own vending machines and loading them up in a way that promotes healthy food - healthy food will be cheap - junk food will be expensive.

Still looking for a couple of vending machines - if anyone knows of any. Found out they are expensive as hell.

Goal = 30lbs by summer!!!

Been working out for the last six months wish I could do it 5 nights or more but can usually get in 3.Real basic.1/2 mile on the treadmill free weights situps, pushups and 3 three minute sets on the heavy bag.Working out on a bag with gloves is a great workout probably burns more calories than running.
If I don't do it for a few nights because I get home late all my old injury's start to hurt it really feels good to work out

Good news, but what does that have to do with us getting in shape! :biggrinjester::biggrinjester: (roid rage!:))

so lets all start something constructive to help one another! and i will start!!

hear is my new creation that is completely something from my own brain..

NO CARB PIZZA!!!!!

THE CRUST IS MADE COMPLETELY OF 95% LEAN GROUND SIRLOIN

first i take the ground sirloin and mix some oregano and some Italian spices, then i spread it out on a pizza pan till its about 1/4 inch but i flare the edges to hold the ingredients of the filling. ALL the cheese i use is fat free! so i spread some fat free romano on the meat before i add some ALL NATURAL marinara, then i add turkey pepperoni and some fat free ham. next i add some mushrooms, olives and green peepers and last i top the entire pizza with 4 fat free cheeses that is prepackaged from the grocery store. i bake it for 25 min at 360 degrees and then i turn the broiler on for 5 min to make the cheese crust on the top. let stand for about 10 min before you cut so it has time to set. this is a amazing meal that will surprise you with flavor

here is a pic from monday night!! i would encourage you to all try it!! its very filling but please dont over do your portions. portion control on this is very important. its a great dish to eat when you feel like cheating but dont really want to...

enjoy
