LCD, VS, LED flat TV, etc. ?

OK.. time to waste some $'s. Looking to get a 46" to 52" Flat couch potato excuse.
Something reasonably priced. Any input as to what to look for? (IE: 60HZ or 120hz? no clue what it means. ) etc.

Peter, if you do a search on plasma in this section, I'm sure two or three old threads will pop up that discussed this.

I suppose in this "Global" economy it is really hard to find anything strictly USA.

I remember growing up; my parents would never allow anything "Made in Japan" in our house (my dad served in the pacific in WWII) and cars had to be made in America (we were from Youngstown - Steel town).

Now I drive a German car, an Australian boat, my home stereo is as Yamaha, etc. etc.

My dad would not be impressed!
