Kilo News

Looks like your 198 record may need defending. Hopefully the Nauti Marine Mystic will make an appearance? Good Luck Dave we look forward to your new record!

The current Unlimited Class kilo world speed record holder is Dave Scott and the 36’ Bacardi Silver Skater with a record of 198.05 mph and a one-way top speed of 202.905 miles per hour.

I'm a little surprised no one has been able to take a shot at that SWEET number?! Good to see the Skater still holding the hardware!

1993?

Any spy shots/footage of Phenomenon testing?

They have - as recent as last July in Sarasota. Averaging a speed throughout a kilometer (3280') is a lil different than hitting a brief top speed number. But, I agree, it's time for a new number! :cheers2:

I couldn't agree more, 198 is an incredible 2 way average. With that being said, while you've hung up your helmet and replaced it with a fishing pole lol, we will be working towards that number.:cheers2:

Helmet's always available when necessary (which it hasn't been) but variety is truly the spice of life :)

We will be there in July for the kilo run. We began testing the boat this week and will continue to test next week. We will be heading to Miami for the boat show in February, stop by and see us outside the Convention center at spot# 3360

I'd be happy to sit next to you & steer, if JT is somehow unavailable for a race.:driving:

Can't hurt to throw it out there I suppose.:cheers2:

I posted a few pics of our test in our Phenomenon project thread, my wife took them so they are what they are.... I will hopefully get better pictures this week when we test.

So, Scotty, does that mean that while you are enjoying spirits in Florida with your toes in the sand and being "Thankful", you're planning your trip to the Lake Ozark's Shootout this year or challenging Phenomenon to a kilo?

As Mercury Morris said:

"don't call me when you're in my town, call me when you're on my block".
