In the Canopy video of RockStar 11/14/09

That is the COOLEST video I've seen in a while!!! Thanks for sharing. It's going to be a long winter. Dave

Her husband does; He owns the boat.:sifone:

Yeah, and that would probably be pics to be left alone right rbh???!!!!! Congrats Delo on the runs, it appears to be getting dialed in great!!!! Amazing how smooth it is in the video at that kind of speed. Keep up the good work and stay safe!!!!

just a thought

You just don't want to think you bought race fuel all summer for nothing.

Mikey how do you go to 168 (15mph pick-up) (143 before box change) but delo runs 159 on 1075 boxs???? and 162 on my boxs? the 3 mph gain could be in temps and water conditions, I really have to wonder what I and Delo actually have? There shouldnt be a 143 vrs a 159 between the two boats both with 1075s and 1075 boxs

Curious Delo, how much are you manipulating the trim and attitude of the boat the last 10-15 mph of WOT? Is there just a trim point you take it to and then hold it or do you make small adjustments until you see it stop accelerating? I know that wind conditions, waves, etc can alter the "packing" of the hull so just wanted to know how you adjust. Sorry for the amateur question but have not been to that speed YET and was curious what takes place from the 145 to 162 MPH in terms of adjustments. Thanks again for including us online with the whole groups dedication to the sport! Keep up the great work, it is impressive!!!

dont discount Delo's wider tunnel and canopy, there is alot of efficency there.

The 850 CRC boat runs 145 on the limiters with a 1.35/36 setup, over 150 unrestricted. 160 is easy when raising the just the limiters on an 850 setup.

Delo has different gearing and surface drives don't forget.

He probably needs new trim pumps after saturday. Him and Scott were both working the trim trying to find the sweet spot. It all comes back to not getting an increase in rpm's over the 1075 ECU.

I may have missed it but what are the rev limiters set at? I was seeing just over 6K rpm's on the port tach, is that pretty close to the limit or did I see somewhere that they can be bumped to 6400 on the 1075's? Great filming out there BTW, it is fun to enjoy from cold Chi-town!!!!!

Good point, just trying to figure it out! I also understand Delo had Scotty, Brad and Masher big ass in there, I am sure that 162 would have been faster.

They even went to find the "good" water where they had run the fastest with Delo's computers. It sounds like the ran about 20 miles trying to get it to go faster. I was on the Sea Ray waiting for them to come back and thought they had got lost or they had broke and would be calling me to come get them.

Your right Mac, something is a miss. Randy said it is usually a 15mph gain, which makes sense considering you should gain 500 RPMs, 6000 VS 6500. Not really sure what happened here. There are a couple of things I would like check while he is running, maybe we'll get to try again this weekend.:drool5:
