Really depends on the severity of the lie, and his reason for lying. If hees bangin your woman then you have more problems than just him, If he owes or otherwise stole something from you, then by all means beat his azz. If he told the cops where the body was then he definately is not your friend.

In my experience, a "best" friend may want to lie, but can't... makes a scrunched up face, mans up and tells the truth. Then lets you react.
