I wish he would STFU

If you have your TV on you know who I'm talking about...

I think he is a great speaker (regardless if I agree with what he is saying)- just getting on my nerves hearing him day in and day out

EDIT- he sucks as a speaker; he is a great reader....

He could sell cars, that's for sure!!!! He is doing quite a bit of bumbling tonight.

His job is exceptionally easy right now, he could take a chit on that podium and the media would say it was a great, unprecedented move by the messiah.:(:(:beatdeadhorse5:

blah...blah...blah..if only what is coming out of his mouth was anything but babble...answer an f'ing question.

"No, overspending was not the problem, it was the banks fault for packaging mortgages, so we're going to spend more."

Uh, what about personal fiscal responsibility and the requirment to repay the loan? Uh, if people did not overspend and lived within their means they would likely not be facing foreclosure. Uh, what if the gov't had not legalized subprime lending in 1980? Hmmm.

And don't overlook the fear mongering..."We are in an unprecedented crisis"...really...unprecedented?

How many times has he said "UH"?? or "UMM"??
There should be a count out by tomorrow morning.

It would be better if he just said the economy is fundamentally sound. I would imagine by now, McCain is pretty darn happy he didn't win. If he did, you'd all have to STFU.

Uhhhhhhhhh...the, the, the...ummmm...thaaaat...uh,uh uh...ah,ah,again.

Now he says the prior administration had no fiscal responsibility for doubling the nat'l debt...but earlier he said spending wasn't the problem, it was the banks fault.

Uh, uh, uh, I'mmm confused.

If McCain was President we'd have a FICA holiday by now and all employees and all employers would have 7.5% more income/revenue.

I'm gonna go out on a limb a bit here and say that I don't think the housing/foreclosure crisis is entirely the fault of personal fiscal irresponsibility. Sure, the media over the last couple of years blew up the "subprime crisis" which in reality was only about $30 Billion in NOTIONAL value; and on top of that "subprime" wasn't defaulting much more than top tier credit. Then there are the folks that signed up for teasers and also "investors" that thought they could flip before things got too expensive. So we got the "ARM/Alt-A" crisis. I think what people are failing to realize is that the economy has been in the toilet for a lot longer than anybody wants to admit. Between people living paycheck to paycheck BEFORE all these crises and the meteoric rise in energy last year, "homeowners" that had good intentions and abilities were turned on their head.

Look at where the media hype has turned today. You don't hear about subprime mortgages; you don't hear about fraud and investors. You finally hear about Joe neighbor who lost his job and can't pay the mortgage.

Yes Steve, but now we can all sit around and b@tch and moan like the good ol' libs and their pals the Independents did for the last 8 years. Don't try and fix anything, just sit there and b@tch. Unfortunately most of us have stuff to lose, your average Dem voter has nothing 2 days after the check hits the mail box.

I think that's brushing it a bit too broadly, remember, they're all elitists? There were plenty of us R's beetching for many of the last eight years. We were told to STFU, everything's fine. I remember a good friend of mine complaining about the harsh financial regulations we had, and that was back in 2006/2007. He said the bull market should last for many years.

I told him I was out, and in treasuries and cash. The only reason I had anything less is I didn't listen to those gubmint fools. It's not beetching and moaning when you're right, and it works. I always knew what would happen when the followers of Mr. personal responsibility found out the truth. I knew it wouldn't be pretty, and I knew it would be loud.

Hopefully 2010 will turn out better. Crap, I'm starting to miss Ross Perot.

yes it was the CONGRESS that was in for the last two years that doubled it...also it costs money to kill terrorists and keep amaerica safe, that im ok with, im not ok with people bailing out losers.

I'm seeing Mitt Romney in 2012...maybe with huckabee or palin as a running mate. I hope in 2010 we can get rid of pelosi and get back control. Realistically the US has always done better with a dem pres and a republican controlled congress.
