I had someone ready to come to shoot video for this event.

People started posting asking about a chopper. I posted the name and phone number of the guy I use for AC. He was available. I spoke to him as late as Thursday but with no commitment from the group to chip in to pay for the chopper, I told him to book his other flight for that day.

Unless it is an organized event where pre-registration is required, there just is no way to get the money ahead of time for the chopper.

It depends. It could be anywhere from $500 to $600 per hour.

Maybe we can do something for the April run if we can get 10 or 15 guys to committ.There was a lot going on with the date change and all we will have more time in the spring.

As long as the funds are there to pay the pilot ahead of time I will be more than happy to shoot everyone that paid for it. I would think then the Video guy would come too. No point in trying to shoot from a boat without onboards.
