GEICO/Time Bandit team up

It was 3 botttles the first night I met him. He must have been behaving at the Duck!!!

Andy had to take him out to the car to go to sleep, then Andy and my dad partied late night after the bar closed. He signed a bunch of shirts for us which I thought was cool. They plan on keeping in touch.

I guess I've somehow gotten on Team Geico's ignore list?

I can't ever seem to ask the right questions to get a reply, & learn anything about the Team Geico life!

GL,

Sorry missed that one, I believe we hooked up on the boat show circuit. The Miss GEICO , Time bandit Crew and a water skiing squirrel were competing for top attraction at the show.....I believe we came in third :)

Anyways between Haggin, Reese and Scotty B it was like "Peas and Carrots". From there Haggin had some ideas on how to blend the two most dangerous jobs and he went with it...GEICO loved it.

It started at the NY boat show last year where we all stayed in the same hotel. The display was also right across from ours (yes next to the skiing squirrel). Of the course of that week the racers, squirrel, and crabbers all became very good friends. We still talk to all of them but I don't think the squirrel was to big on skiing behind the Mystic. Anyway Haggin and Johnathan have remained good friends and I am sure there are good things to come in the future.:driving::cheers2::boxing_smiley:

World Record Run

In December, Miss GEICO plans to break the world record point to point speed run from Miami to Palm Beach. With Marc Granet at the wheel, Scott Begovich on throttles, and John Haggin as navigator, the Miss GEICO team will leave Key Biscayne and cover the 65 miles to the Palm Beach Inlet in the hope of beating thirty minutes and establishing a new world record speed run. Jonathan Hillstrand, captain of the Time Bandit from the Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch” will also join in the fun as the four musketeers seek to make history.

The guys will be accompanied by the GEICO Cigarette Pace boat and the GEICO Safety Boat and at the Palm Beach Inlet the GEICO Support Boat with the local news media will be on hand to congratulate the guys. A helicopter manned by our safety chief and TV cameramen will chronicle the record run. Due to unpredictable weather conditions, please check our website for updates on the world record run.

Great to see you guys going after some records! 130MPH average..

Thought Haggin didn't like riding in canopy boats?

Actually he's the one who suggested it, he does have a wild side if you havn't noticed :)

Depending on weather , were hoping to be able to hold that avg. Atlantic ocean in the Winter can get nasty.
