Hell of a run on saturday. Thanks for your help Tim. Pic is leaving port clinton.
So its 11 am and hop in the boat. Its blowing every bit of the 50mph gale force winds. I thought I was going to have a problem getting out of my lift but it went fine. Then I get out on the lake and the waves are from 7 to 10 foot but real close and my boat is going 65 mph and is handeling great. Not even poping out just riding from one wave to the next. THEN>>>>>>>
Get off plane to get into the ramp near CIC and then the fun starts. My truck and trailer hasn't arrived.... So as I'm trying to control the boat the wind and waves are now kicking my ass. No chance to tie up so both engines in gear and I'm circleing. Tip of my bow was splitting the waves sending a 2-3 foot wave down the bow and into the cockpit. Tried to get back on plane but at this time the wind and waves were to strong and my boats props were washing out.
So then the truck shows up and at this time about 100 people have come to watch the circus. However my driver puts the trailer in and doesn't open the drive gaurd. Lucky I saw but my phone got ruined through the thousands of gallons of water that had dreanched me so it took some time for him to finally hear me.
Going on the trailer it was going to be a one shot attempt. Luckily I slid it on like a glove. Go to pull out however and the trailer bottoms out on the ramp. I'm like what else can go wrong. So start looking for stuff to put under the trucks tires and finally gave up on that idea. I hoped in the truck backed it back down in the water and floored it. The truck rose up and the trailer cleared without even touching the ground.
Some guy comes up and says I need your email I got the whole thing on video LOL
Moral of the story... Respect mother nature, and be glad I had engines that didn't stall.
