Surely you arent insinuating that Bill paid for the trip out of his pocket. Hell Yes we paid for it. Me, You and every other TAX payer.:ack2:

Including the Hollywood executive that donated the use of his plane. Bubba would've had the secret service rpotection whether he was at home on top of an intern or flying around the world rustling up some asian poontang. The only real new cost to us might just be the long distance calls and an old iPod.

Where do you get that this was a taxpayer funded effort? Other than the sunk cost of Secret Service, this was a non-gov't effort. I never said anything came out of "his" pocket...

I'm opting for the full of sh!t choice.

You take so many sides on each subject, I can't figure out wtf you stand for. Youi remind me of Catmando, who was against anything that could make his irrelevant life worth arguing about. If you don't know who Cat is, or was, do some research. I don't think he was ever a member on here.

I'm glad you pointed out the errors of my ways.
I've learned more by accident, than you ever have on purpose.

You'll never figure me out. And if you sit across from me at poker, I'll take your entire stack and you'll thank me for doing it with such grace. I am very hard to read because i don't simply conform to the standard bestowed upon me by a master. I read, I explore, I disect multiple angles and develop a view based more on reality and less on propaganda and spoon-fed talking points. The result is not being bamboozled and ripped off. One unfortunate side effect is that most people prefer the simply road of being lead on a leash, so the higher level company I keep is a smaller group. but every once in awhile, the sheep have their moments of awakening, enlightenment. Then the dialogue and political discourse gets interesting. Here's an example: the sheep have been spoon-fed fear about governemnt taking over and ruining their healthcare. Who's feeding that? Well, it'd be the health insurance special interest and lobbying effort. But once people realize it's not heatlh care reform, it's health insurance reform. . . well, everyone seems to look at their pocketbooks and see they could benefit from reform.

It takes special person to see the when all but one of the hi-jackers were Saudi's and the ringleader is a Suadi national, that maybe going into Iraq, even if they were connected with al-Queda might not be the right move. But neo-cons don't see things as black or white, right or wrong, true or false. They see it as my way or the highway. guess what, November 2008 served neo-cons the highway. And all they can do now is rally up nut-bag militants who fear the loss of guns, weakening of their religious church and some black man d!ck slapping them from the White House. And it'll get worse before it gets better. And if the Republican party continues to stake their claim on the old South, it'll just keep getting worse.

I've seen Catmando around the OSO site. Didn't read much of his banter or yours. But I know a bat-sh!t crazy person when I see one.

Now back to diplomacy and intellectual discourse.

Im still trying to figure out the origin. First we have 2 asian, er I mean american chicks who sneak into another country, er I mean get lost and accidently wander into another country. They get caught and sentenced to 12 years prison... good thing they weren't picking lettuce. Second, they "worked" for Al Gore, a former VP, no a private citizen, who sent them to a communist country with which we have severed diplomatic relations, then sent Clinton, a former president, now a private citizen, on a mission not as a diplomat but as a private citizen (nevermind that private citizens are legally prohibited in doing so) to negotiate these two bimbo's release.

so to put this in simple English..

1. Former VP hires 2 women to infiltrate a foriegn contry.

2. the 2 women are of an ethnic background to "blend in" with the infiltrated population

3. the 2 women are enter and are caught in a foriegn nation illegaly and for monitary gain

4. they are tried, convicted, and sentenced by the foriegn country for sneaking in (regaurdless if it was to pick lettuce or propaganda)

5. we send a former president as a "private citizen" to get them back

maybe its just me, but something just doesnt smell right, and I don't think its bobcats socks. well unless Bob gets lost fishing, cruises up on a cuban beach, gets arrested, and monica lewenski flies down to smoke Fidel's cigar and get him pardoned and returned....... or we send Bush Sr. down to have a couple beers with Raul.....

Wasn't sure I liked you before...

I've changed my mind.

Sounds like we may have similar POVs...and similar methods for realizing those perspectives.

+1 :usa:

I stand corrected. I made a generalizing assumption and was wrong. I admit it.

As far the nuclear weapon issue: like I said, it's China's problem, not ours. We are not the world's police. And we cannot afford to pretend we are. If Mexico was lighting nuclear rockets, it would most definitely be our problem. But as long as we are going to voluntarily bankrupt ourselves invading countries overseas, their neighbors are going to save their loot and let us do it. They may play their political cards and not praise us, to which we will publicly lambast them for their lack of appreciation. But they will have let teh school yard bully exhaust himself with someone else's fights when he should be saving up for bigger, more important fights.

If we get the F out of the way, China will deal with them. And why is it that we are "idiots" for using diplomacy? Last time I checked, most of Lil' Kim's neighbors were sitting at that table too.

You will never be mistaken for a great statesman.

The ONLY thing a bully understands, is a badder bully. The baddest bully on this planet used to be Uncle Sam's Mean Green Killing Machine. That's why we keep a standing army. Their job is to kill people and blow up sh!t. They aren't meant to be used as pawns in some political game.

My dad fought the North Koreans before I was born. Many a good American soldier died over there to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons. If you think that nuclear weapon are a local problem, you need to do more research, My dad ran a picket line around the Entewetok Atoll for the first H bomb tests. He didn't drag four kids and a wife all over the earth to see someone who believes that appeasing a demigod like Kim can give it away

By your reasoning, I guess we didn't have to play world police when the Nazis were slaughtering all the Jews.

LIke it or not, we are the only people capable, and compasionate enough to be th world police.

Until you know more of what you speak, I'd advise you to shut your pie hole, and sit there an enjoy the blanket of protection you live under thanks to the US military, and if you think someone else has a better form of government to live under, don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

some people have been warned several times...CIVILITY will prevail here... personal attacks and attitudes need to be kept in check.

Ma'am, you are unbelievable. I saw A Few Good Men too. Liked it less than Forrest Gump, but spare my the Colonel Jessup lecture on the blanket of security. I have lots of respect for the efforts of our military, both current and past; what both our families fought and died for. Just don't make me raise my eyebrows again with a threat. Not a good idea on a public chatboard. Not only are moderators watching and once again ready to shutdown a perfectly good dialogue among members. . . **** it, I'm not taking your bait. Spout off all you want. But try adding some good content or argument or reason. Not some useless Archie bunker blather.

Thank you Phragle for once again, trying to keep a good thread moving forward.

Carry on with your own pathetic existence. As far as I can tell, all you do is sponge rides of other boats, and take pictures. I don't think that takes a PHD.

At least I know some people that want me on their boats.

Tell us again why you grace us with your presence on this forum?
I can't remember a positive contribution from you in... well, forever. :ack2:

Enough. Stay on topic or lose it. Time-outs are next if the insults and threats continue. Please fellas debate this civilly. Thanks.

I am rather surprised noone picked up on what I said earlier... does anybody really think that if Bobcat and I went fishing off key west and "accidently" ended up in cuba, would Clinton come rescue us???
