current fuel prices!!! gas stations and marinas

im thinking the same thing. im going to wait till closer to spring. the minute fuel starts moving up i will fill up.

Must not boat much, fill up lucky to last me a weekend.
400 gals.
1.50- 1.70 reg
1.80-2.00 prem.
Thats amazing we drill for it ,refine it,deal with all the crap that comes along with offshore drilling and we pay more than alot of states that import every drop.

full w/Stabil vs. empty(condensation) vs. 1/2 tank

ok . . . I got a quick fuel question. I normally store the boats full but lately it was suggested to store them empty on account of additives used in today's fuels not being stable after a short time. I decided to store the Donzi empty this season and ran it completely dry but with premium being in the $1.6? range i was thinking i'd like to fill the boat now. Fill ups last summer were roughly a grand and it would be nice to take advantage of the low cost now. Is it still ok to store full? If i use Stabil will the cost of treating 225 gallons offset savings? Any thoughts?

What I've recently learned is 1/2 tank is best of both worlds....old school was to leave empty; then they changed to fill em'up and stabilize; now they say best way to prevent condensation and also a tank full of old stale fuel is half tanks. Burn a bit right off, possibly with your summerize program, then fill to top with higher octane first time out. So, with fuel prices as they are I am waiting til Jan./Feb., go fill em' both and then within 30-45 days get out there on the 1st 70 degree day and enjoy the cheap ride! my .02

Is anyone else pissed about the prices, I know this may seem wierd to you, but I am... I get rapped all summer long $4.40-$4.80 and now it just drops to $1.40 this is messed up.

I've been trying to figure that one out too.
How the hell was it over $4.00 all summer, and today I see it local for $1.49??

is that donzi armor clad, there is so much junk in the water after the thaw, logs, palets, the occasional dock thats been ripped loose...... trees, misc trash, dead bodies etc.....

We always fill ours up in the fall, and treat with stabil. Never have a problem. We just run that gas out in the spring while taking it easy. Then change the fuel filter and fill up again. I buy Stabil by the gallon at the local farm supply store, under $30 for a gallon.

Yes Jonathan :iagree:

Gasoline is at $1.99
Diesel is at $2.99 WTF???????
#2 Fuel oil $2.22 WTF?????????

I dont understand why Diesel and Fuel oil if more expensive since Gasoline needs to be refined more?
More work means more money. Right?

1.55 for 87 on land.... in Edgewater, just south of Annapolis
2.36 for 89 at the marina by my house.... filling up the 400SS in the next day or two before shrinkwrapping this Saturday...
