Chicks, Chips & Boats

Don't know the reason why he couldn't take it all the way. Was an easy turn around except for the chit roads in PA. Looked like a junk yard across there. Was back in NJ at 11pm and empty by 5am. It was 41 degrees and sunny, but that all changed on my way back out of the port. Hit the snow again in PA. That makes like 24 days straight that I've hit snow or ice at some point in the day.

They have snow in our forecast for the next 5 or 6 days.:(

All our schools are closed and we have a lake effect snow warning in effect until 10AM tomorrow morning. 4 to 8" more today on top of what we already have (6-8" at home but some areas have 40").

As I trekked thru town, I noticed several things. 1)The streets still haven't been plowed properly 2)Funds renter hasn't shoveled yet, and 3) There are kids out everywhere trying to make a $, when school wasn't cancelled..I know, cuz their all in the streets, not wanting to let me by....:cuss:

It has quit here for now thankfully. Hope that happens until we get out of work.

I hate to see that stuff:-(

They closed I-90 west down from Rt 528 to Vrooman Road yesterday for 3 hours due to car and truck spin-outs. They couldn't get emergency vehicles to the scene. It was bad.

Sunny today. We are getting a much needed break for the weekend. In the 30's next week! Woohoo!

Mornin gang, made it back home around 2 this morning. Colorado was fun to visit and ski but the cold really got to me this time, growing old sucks.

The trip really started Sat cause we had an early flight out of Ft Lauderdale so we drove up with another family that night and stayed close to the airport. Holy suitcases batman, with all the winter stuff everyone had two, 7 people and 14 suitcases made it fun getting to the airport, the shuttle bus had a trailer thank god. Got out ok and made it to Denver by 10am. Rented 2 SUVs and drove to the house in Keystone we rented. Really cool place, 5 bedrooms and 5 baths with a big fire place that ended up being a favorite spot. Sorry for the poor pictures my daughter was the group photographer and she's still sleeping:rolleyes:

BB, love the piture of you laying in front of the fire. My dad used to lay on the floor, blocking the heat vent (he was in an accident at Toledo Scale and had alot of pain w/ cold and rain). Brings back happy memories! Thanks for sharing....

Thanks but that's not me, I'm close to Funds size, that's my daughters boyfriend:sifone:

I've been watching move tv down here - since Tony's parents have cable and we don't. Just saw some show on the History channel about trucking. Something about the ice road in Alaska. Didn't seem like they could move too fast on that one.

Back to the ski trip, Monday we hit the slopes and I skied with the group and we stayed on all green or easy slopes, good for warm up but got boring as the day went on. Tuesday we all went out as a group and my wife talked everyone to go on a blue or more difficult run, maybe a little to much cause that was the last time we skied as a group. Tuesday half the group went tubing so my wife and I skied blues till she got tired. Wed I got up early and hit the slopes alone and made it to the back bowls, great skiing and very few out there. Took my wife and daughter over in the afternoon and skied blues. Wed was also night skiing and it had started to snow and kept snowing heavy at night by the last run there was a foot of fresh powder. Thursday was cold and windy so the mountain was pretty empty but my wife and daughter didn't want to go to the back bowls again, no lodge to warm up in back there. They ran a couple runs and went in to warm up so I hit some black diamond runs, lots of fun. the pics don't show how steep the runs are compared to the greens.
