I took a cool little short cut in the Blue Ridge Mountains yesterday. Switch backs, 20 mph curves, mangled gaurd rails from trailers tracking short on the curves...a true goat trail. Might have had something to do with the sign that said "No trucks over 65' over all length" Nice that they posted the sign after the point of no return.:driving:

In the 1st pic I'm run out to the widened shoulder to get wide enough so the trailer doesn't track in the on coming lane and the 2nd you can see thru the trees to the other side of the switch back. Fun road:D

We did the run last year. It was a lot of fun. There were at least 30 boats that participated. We were the only ones from the Mentor area that participated.

We are not doing it this year just due to the fact that we're picking and choosing poker runs. We've done 2 and have 2 more to do.

The web address is www.islandpirates.net then select forum. You will need to register but it's free.

We keep missing each other this year Donna.

Too quiet in here. Freight got a little weird and I'm hung out for the weekend. Enroute for Columbus, OH at midnite and Florence and Louisville, KY for Monday morn'n. It's all air freight, so it comes off fast.

It's 550 miles to Columbus, I've done that drive a time or two and Louisville is about 500. I've done that one way more than I'll admit, or at least driven thru it:sifone:

Think'n we need to team out to NE Ohio next weekend. Heard there's gonna be some sort of get together out there.
