I am having a text conversation with my son as we speak about his room! He lives like a frickin pig! We are so over it. I'm just about to blow a gasket on him.

I'm trying to get Tony's house cleaned (or was last weekend). My parents are coming up on Friday. At least the lawn was mowed and he finally weed whacked the thistles that were growing. My mom's house is always spotless and she expects mine (and Tony's by association) to be as well. She sometimes forgets that I'm maintaining two places and work full time. Hopefully he hasn't wrecked the place. When I left, I just needed to clean one bathroom and wash all the floors.

We have the fun of all having dinner together. His parents invited mine up to have dinner. My parents are stopping by Tony's first to measure the Whaler for the cover that Dad's going to make for the console.

I have a jewelry question for anyone who may help.... I have a semi-precious stone bracelet. (Gold, ruby,diamond) It has finger nail polish on a small area. What is safe to use on it? Should I take it to a jeweler?

Acetone won't hurt the stones or gold. Can always use a non-acetone if you're more comfortable with that.

That's just fingernail polish remover. The stones and gold are not affected by that.

All the polish came off and no discoloration! Thank God.This was the last piece of jewelry my parents bought me before dad passed. I have two bracelets that mean alot, so I rarely wear them...my jewelers moved to Cleveland....
