Chicks, Chips & Boats

Fund and JJ the wife and I enjoyed your company at the stops and hope you get your boat ready for the fall run. Donna and Ian as always a pleasure.

Lee enjoyed her first run but mostly she enjoys the social aspect of the event which is the main reason for these events but for me its the hardware and the thrill of the run. We headed home about 8:00 instead of continuing the "honeymoon" on the water for another night. We both miss or girls and cant wait for them to get home.

Morning. Have a house to clean today....boo. I think my nose got some sun yesterday, too bad the rest of me was chilly. :biggrinjester:

Leopa people were very friendly. Nice club.. Brian, did Lee (sp?) enjoy herself enough to go on another run? *Note - TYC has strong margs!!........just fyi. I didn't mind, I wasn't driving!

I've lived in the south all my life. The only way I get a tan is walking from one shady spot to another!

I was just on the phone with a girl in Ocala that wanted me to come over to get in her pool. She's French Canadian, so I had to explain to her my stance on laying out to get a tan. I haven't done that once in my whole life. I get enough sun by accident.

Well it's official. I am employed again. We are going to close the store at the end of our lease in October, if not sooner. I accepted an offer to go back to the company I was leased to for 15 years. I start next week as a company driver for now, but will eventually put a truck on with them again after all the store inventory is sold off. I go tomorrow for NEW driver orientation, which will seem a little weird. They were gonna run me through an accelerated "get you up to speed" kind of thing, but I told them I'll play by the rules. After all, a lot of things have changed in the six years I've been out of the industry, so it won't hurt me to get educated again. One of my part time guys that's laid off right now will cover the store Tuesday - Thursday while I'm gone and I'll be here for Fri and Sat. Store will be closed Sun and Mon. We will run that schedule until the end of August and then see where we're at and decide for the remainder of the lease.

What ever will I do with a LIFE and a PAYCHECK:biggrinjester:

I'm really happy to hear that Wayne! Hang in there.....it will all work out in the end.

We had a very fun, fun, fun weekend with the poker run. We stayed at Lakeside all weekend, the run which had 36 boats was great, most boats survived and only a few minor problems with some, water started out at less than 2's, after the first stop 2-3's and some 4's when the plane came out to take video/pictures. Can't wait to see what they look like.

Spent the afternoon at Lakeside by the pool then finally headed home late in the afternoon.

With the exception of a 40th BD this coming Saturday night, the next few weekends will be spent up in the islands....and we know how ugly that gets!

Sounds like a great time. I take it the boat ran ok.

I'm sure this is bitter sweet. But you will never have to ask your self I wonder what would have happened. Good luck in the next chapter!

What part?

Normally across the pike, but one never knows when I might have to run up I-90:sifone:

Gonna have to take Smacky up on his offer for a ride on the Vice boat. He told me if I ever went back on the road, he has a place right off hwy 53 and the pike where I can park the truck and he'd take me out.
