Chicks, Chips & Boats

Spent my high school years living just off Exit 51. Spent most free warm weather time boating on the LI Sound. Good times.

What city is at exit 51? I grew up in East Meadow we mostly used the parkways. Several of the bars and diners I went to were on Hempstead Turnpike. Nice to know you hit the bars in the 60's finally someone older then me, I was doing that in the mid 70's but of course at that time you could drink at 18:biggrinjester: Where do you live now.

Enjoy the time with your grandson and best wishes that everything goes well for your daughter.

I am doing a little babysitting of my own tomorrow. My girlfriend from the other side of the lake has no one to watch her 11 year old, so I told her she could bring her here for the day. She's a cut kid and can watch movies while I work. At lunch time I am taking her and my other girlfriend's 11 year old daughter to lunch and then back to her house for a play date. Since the kids live on opposite sides of the lake they go to different schools and have not met, hopefully lunch breaks the ice and that they will be able to play together. I might bring them back here at the end of the day and let them bake something, kids usually like to bake.

Girl kids like to bake, boy kids like to eat what's baked. :sifone:

I wish it would start here too. 40 may not sound cold up north, but it's cold as heck for this time of year here. It was exactly 40 this morning. :(

You'll be hard pressed to find any sympathy here Joe! :biggrinjester:

Many of us are looking forward to it being 40! :sifone:

But, it is disappointing to be in Florida and it's cold. We had a few days of that back in February when we were visiting.

It was cold here too, 70 this morning, almost put coats on the dogs to walk them:sifone:

It was labeled Dix Hills - Deer Park Rd. Considered part of Huntington and between Huntington and Deer Park / Wyandanche.

In NE Ohio now, just a few miles from Kent State.
