Hey - anybody have any experience with ceiling tiles? Not the drop in kind but the inter locking stick to the ceiling kind. There is a bad spot in the kitchen where the roof had leaked .. roof fixed but nobody has ever done anything about the inside. If I can find matching tiles, since they are interlocking and this is in the middle, is it possible to shove them in there? or ... this happens to be at a spot that would be a dividing spot between the kitchen and dining room that is actually one big room but I could do something else down this strip (2 tiles wide = 2 feet) then trim it off on both sides and give it more of a feel of two rooms.

Any thoughts? Here is a pic of the bad spot. Im hoping it is bowed out cuz the tiles are warped ..... fingers crossed on that one

There are a number of things you could do. If you can find matching tiles (I'm gonna bet though that the ones up there are faded, so even matching ones won't mach), you can cut along the interlocking part to remove old ones. Then you can use a construction adhesive to adhere the new ones to the ceiling.

Creating a "break" between the two rooms is a cool idea to. Then you can do anything you want. Juat figure out what looks good trim wise and go from there.
