Chicks, Chips & Boats

Side note-

I found (3) $100 bills at the entrance of the cemetery. I went early to film the procession (fireman's funeral) for my friend (dudes sister ).

When my uncle died (a fireman) they drove him (in his casket) to the cemetery on the back of an old fire truck. My dad didnt make it to the funeral (he was in the hospital at the time) and I remember telling him about how "cool" it was. He told me when his father died (he was also a fireman) his casket was placed on a wagon pulled by my grandfathers clydesdales. I would have liked to have had a picture of that ......

When my dad died (volunteer fireman 52 years) the department draped the fire house and one truck in Purple. The truck was used in the procession and there were color gaurds from all the surrounding departments, both regular and volunteer. There was about 50 fireman lined down each side of the isle in dress uniforms of the vaious departments snapping sharp salutes as the casket was carried out of the church. I was hold'n it together pretty good up untill that point.

Made it into the keys about 10 this am, life slowed down in a hurry for the better. Gilligan decided to puke a few times but seems to be feeling better now. Goin lobster diving at sunrise after Gilligans morning bike ride.

My credit card co. managed to track me all the way down here and froze my card on suspicious activity.:D

Around here they call in to dispatch, whom then sends out a page alert to all the firemen's pagers, and then call a final "in service" over the radio w/time stamp. Pretty moving.

Thanks to the 3" of snow that turned to freezing/rain/sleet that turned to rain, it took me 1 hour and 25 minutes to go 21 miles this morning.

Why in the hell do I live here again?:ack2:

Ouch!

I slept in til 6:50AM- learning bad habits from BBB but some how I still want to be him...

I get off around Noon, then going to the Grandparents for Christmas. Aunt from TX going to be there I haven't seen in over 20 years. I feel soooo old saying stuff like that!

It's just raining here.

I started trying to organize and pack a few things up for when my realtor comes back. She wants my whole condo organized (nothing on closet floors, cabinets straightened, etc) and I have a whole lot of boxes.... Tony... um we might have to send you home with some :D

Raining here too but its freezing when it lands :ack2: There is a sloped ramp thing when you go out my back door (instead of steps) that were totally ice covered and scary this morning. I started out that door and I wasnt moving but my feet were sliding down the ramp ... I was doing a back bend :D Made it back in the door and then went out the door the dogs go out of to get to my car:blush5: Supposed to warm up today so it should be fine later but then they are calling for it to refreeze tonight.

The ex called last night .... I was telling him about my brakes and he was like well that sucks cuz he was supposed to go get the daughter tomorrow but now he cant so he was calling to tell me I needed to go get her and then he would take her back. I said ok ... and then he said what about your brakes ... and I said I just wont use them :sifone: J said if I do any hail mary braking I might be in trouble so I just wont do any

I am sure there are plenty of people that would be more than happy to give you a hand if you need it......

Or any other body part for that matter.:sifone:

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....12" but looks like it might be over.

Race Girl be easy when you're driv'n. A bent rotor is still gonna stop ya, just gonna be annoying until ya get it fixed. :)

Back in the day when I had my trans am (thats right - insert red neck joke here - and no I didnt have a mullet :D), I spent some time stopping by shifting into neutral and letting the car coast to a stop. Of course, that only works at red lights and stop signs ... not so good on the hail marys :sifone:
