Chicks, Chips & Boats

I just finally learned to download my pictures to my computer, we have only had the camera for about 5 years:biggrinjester: As you know I spend quite a bit of time planting flowers, here are some of my pictures from the garden by the lake. Ian put in all the boulders himself, he did a very good job

I must have about 50 hostas, I have spent a lot of hours digging them up, moving them and splitting them. This year I took pictures of them all in order so if I decide to divide them I will know what color and what size each are. Each spring it's a guessing game. I will also try to divide some of the big ones in the fall. I also made a notebook with what and where I planted things, and what worked and what didn't. This way next year I will not make a mistake from a year or so before. I am tired of planting things in places that don't work.

Ian laid the paver brick walk, he did a nice job on that, he's a pretty handy guy:kiss:

I leave for NY tomorrow, flying to Long Island to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. I will be back on Monday night.

The inside is amazing too.
Her Christmas decorations are incredible.

She starts early in the season on the yard. I am blown away by what she accomplishes. They have a showpiece. They have a big shindig on their lake next week. Looks like she is ready. I wish we could be there.

+1- nice joint!

I'm in the process of getting prices on a brick raised planter bed 2.5 off the house and 34 foot long, 40 foot brick side walk 2.5 feet wide and a 20 x11 brick patio. $20+ SF and adding up fast but love me some brick so I don't have to ever mess with it again.

Are you going to St Clair for Sunday only? Or are you spending Sat up there also? And if you're gone, is Ian gonna come to Harrison?????

So what does all that mean? You leaving?

So what does all that mean? You leaving?

No. My diary entry.....:sifone: and venting :cuss: I would like to be employed and stop paying self employment taxes...Just when he gets a boat, I will be someone elses pee - on! What luck ( I wonder if I have "Murphy's" blood in there somewhere????? :( )

yea Jann are you leaving, if so go to a place not to far and clients will follow and maybe you will get more clients

Ian will probably not go to Harrison, he has been real sick since we got home from PokerRun in Toledo, sinus and stuff, and he has been dragging ass, he is looking forward to getting some more phase converters built to sell. He also says that Harrison is not a good viewing location from either the lake or the shoreline that is public. Also we should save some money we have 4 more expensive boat long weekends planned

Fund and JJ since you can not make it, we are not doing the rally and that's OK cause we got invited to a really cool party weekend at the Toledo Yacht Club and you can come also. Friday and Saturday live bands, and Saturday is a big Pirates Party, costumes and stuff, it is put on by on of the LEOPA members that belongs to the TYC, we will have a slip there all weekend. Now for the hard/crazy part, I posted this on another thread but I think I deleted by accident, anyway we have to get up sort of early on Sunday, after the party, ugggh. then ride to the Monroe boat launch, pull the boat out and then take it behind our truck all the way to St Clair so we can get there in time for the races, we will have to park it somewhere since we want to watch from land. Ian said it would take to much time for us to drop it at home. It should be fun finding a place to park, I guess we will just take to to the launch parking and hopeful there will be a place, I assume we will drive there via a different route from how we drive home. Then on Thursday after the race we are leaving for 4 days up in Charleviox with several other LEOPA boats, we will come home Monday afternoon. So we have a lot on our plates.

Fund and Jann, let me know if you can make the party, I am forwarding the flyer to John's email.

Awww, I see. It's not an easy time right now..........hang in there although easier said than done.

And I would guess "Patron" blood. :biggrinjester:

reading my last post cracks me up, I am in a hurry to get things done, so did not proof it.

Thanks for the compliments about the garden I spend about two full weekends doing nothing but planting, but I do have a teen help me with the clean up and mulch. I really like tending it, I go out almost every evening and dead head the flowers and I like it, sometimes I get in the water and take care of it from that side, do your remember me saying how I fell in when trying to water from the lake before our sprinklers were turned on, it's those bolders I fell off of. The other night someone I did not know drove up fairly close on his pontoon and he said the garden looked pretty, I said it's a lot of work but I enjoy it, he said yeah I figured you must I was just telling my friends that I see you out here working almost everytime I go by:)

Now that I know how to use the camera, I will take it with me and then post some pictures of me at my sisters pool in my new bikini:biggrinjester:

NOT IN THIS LIFETIME:rofl::rofl::rofl: anyway I might not post until I am back so have a good weekend:seeya:
