Ian and I are going to drive up for the Sunday race. Fund was thinking about coming here Saturday for our small lake's annual boat rally, sort of like a road rally only by pontoon boats, lots of drinking with dinner and band following the rally.
Rob do you know what kind of boat count they have for Harrison, except for Dean and Rick there are few racers posting about it, that worries me. I know Dean has put a lot of effort into it, so I sure hope the boats turn out. I will be in NY for that weekend, Ian might go but he is not sure.

I talked to Jann but the problem was when I talked to my sister last night. We have to move my mom to a new facility and 8/1 is the day. I was going to call you later this morning. I still will.
This summer isn't going so well. I am holding out hope for the fall run.
The bad tank was hiding some bad wood, so of course I am another week+ behind on the boat, too.

Ugh. Sorry to hear that John but not surprised.
Inbetween and I were talking last night about having a get together when the penguin comes to town the weekend of Aug 14. It would be great if we could get everyone to come up for the evening. There are plenty of hotel choices close by.
Thinking Fund, JJ, Phragle, penguin, Wrink, Patriyachts..........anyone and everyone would be welcome. Locally there is us, skramer, LEOPAJM, inbetween, mkramer......Thoughts?

Rick says he's been swamped with the plans and they've pulled it off once again. That's all I know currently. I'll see if I can get them to put up boat count.
I've also been trying to find out how many tickets were sold for the BatBoat raffle. Enough for the minimum 50?
If we come to Harrison, it will be for just the day. St Clair we will most likely drive over Sat morning again and leave Monday morning or late Sunday. Haven't completely decided yet on that.
Michigan City will be day trips, less than a two hour drive. We drove down Monday to check out the layout for viewing and, from the course setup online, it looks as if there will be a great viewing area close to the south turn. The SBI site says they are running counter-clockwise. There should be wicked weird waves there from backwash off the harbor north jetty and the normal NW winds.

We're looking forward to it too! We will take one night (Fri or Sat) and have a cookout at Adam and Beth's place and invite the locals.

Fuking with you...........they have concert tickets that weekend and he's committed (and I understand) to his cottage in the summer. We have to go see him. :reddevil:
