I had to pound the lifter out with a hammer...

Oh, and the best part (which John missed, fortunately) was when I was trying to brake an allen head bolt loose and my hand slipped off the wrench... I punched myself in the face flat out... Top quality!

For some reason I can actually picture you doing that.

I did have bloody knuckles after breaking the allen heads that were holding the swim steps to the brackets...
