100 lbs would effect a lighter boat more than a heavier. Also, moving the weight a foot off the transom or a foot off the CG would also greatly change the effect on balance.

I am still trying to figure this formula thing out.

I apologize but I asked Steve a direct question and he dissed me with no answer. I only want to learn. But I want to learn from people that know.

You havent provided nearly enough info for an accurate number. Hull weight, current CG are going to be the two biggest variables. You would still need to give what distance from the CG are you moving the 100 lbs 12 inches.

CG is fun to play with, but it requires a lot of info.

:cheers2:

LOL this went from buoyancy to displacement waterline things we do on the table I changed water line to Displacement after being asked to devine the CG from Get this a Photo!! then I saw the game I should have asked for a method of Cold Fusion or room temperature superconductors maybe the 200 MPG carburetor he has buried in the back yard in return.

...aaaaaand now we're back on track.

I voted for the 35. I think that's probably the most marketable size. It's big enough touse in rougher water, but still friendly around the marina. And it's trailerable. Plus it'll run nice on a pair of 525's or like lightning with 700's. Or something like the Ilmor/Indy.

I saw the Spectre in that size a little while back. I'm surprised they're not selling more of them. Nice styling and a decent price.

Ilmor has a nice package and the weight is very good.

Reread. 12". The weight of the boat would not be an issue.
