the deck will be wider than hull, then deck will be trimed..... my question, when chopping down a boat, especially carbon, is it cut to match the deck contour or is the nose drooped down then glassed in.? I am wondering because once laid up, though it has some flex, if it were drooped wouldn't that prestress the laminate?

Funny thing when i was at Skater we never used an oven but on the other hand when i was employed at S 2 YACHTS (TIARA ) building boats out of epoxy we did .

Animalhouse , just curious what type of epoxy are you doing your build with Pro set ,Shell or?

The deck will be trimmed to match the hullsides. The hull and deck are then bonded together without a rubrail.

are you putting a rounded radius where the rubrail was and from the looks of the bulkheads you will be adding more free board ?

Once again Sean you never seem to amaze me with your comments and like i said before i was a little late to this thread and just trying to get up to speed . Thanks Sean for your wealth of info maybe i should just ask you what i want to know . Sean what post says what type of epoxy there using in the build of the boat or what type of radius is going to be used rounded or.................. seeing that there is not going to be a rub rail .:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: So Sean show me the way GREAT ONE and i shall follow or do i have to drink the KOOLAID first and that just might be a good idea . We are using Minkota electric trolling motors, we want to start a new competitive class of Hybrid Racing. Boat should top out at 12mph as long as the batteries hold up.
