Any Iron Maiden fans?

s h i t, used to go to the first come best seat concerts in the 70's , up front row for blue oyster cult, terrifying for a kid to be pushed around at the entrance, at van halen in 79 the joints would be passed around until they were gone (not me of course being a nuke guy):leaving:

I loved Iron Maiden - still do.
First Concert I ever saw was on the PowerSlave tour about 23-24 years ago.

I just saw that they have a Documentary movie coming out on the 21st of this month. I didn't realize Bruce Dickinson was a pilot licensed to fly the tour jet 757.

seen 'em about a half a dozen times. Still got my shirt and i think maybe a headband :D (no longer fits lol) Great band to see at the Sports Arena (you Toledo guys know what i mean) This was from the Piece of Mind world tour in 83.

On a side note if you are a Maiden fan than see the movie Spinal Tap

Seeing them at the sports arena was great!
I recall being in the line that wrapped all the way back to Brenner Marina to get in.
$11.25 for a ticket, and an additional $1.25 for service charge.
I spent $15.00 on a T-shirt, and $8.00 for a headband. I have the tour program around here someplace - another $12.00.
Geez, couldn't go see a show today for less than $200.

"Stranger in a strange land" has been a song that has fit me pretty well as of late.

Dave, I didn't figure you for a "Up the Irons" guy...:26:
Eddie rocks.

Spinal Tap is classic. Yes, they are making fun of Maiden, but it's just classic.
When stonehenge appears....

Trivia question...
What is St. Hubbins the St. of??

Phantom of the Opera and Flight of Iccarus are my favorites. I saw them on the piece of mind tour, $8.50 for Maiden, Fastway, and Coney Hatch. I too was passed a joint. Didn't know what to do, I was about 13. But everyone was cool.

Now it costs a couple hundred to take the wife to a concert.

I wish I had seen them with Fastway opening.
I had to order a Fastway checkerboard T-shirt out of the back pages of Hit-Parader

Steve Harris and this band have been one of the influence in me playing the bass and on my past group. I saw them only 2 times (im 20... missed some of the good years you had back then!!!), one for the release of their new album, the show was not what we waited for.... But we saw them this summer, outside, on an immense field, with many tens of thousand of people, some amazing decors as always, and a couple of eddies and war machines... a couple row from the stage and with all the GREAT successes from the past, it will be some of the memories ill never forget

To answer the original question: Not me

It sure makes the six bucks I paid to see Zepplin a bargain. Even at the rate you paid to see Iron somebody. :) I couldn't name one single tune by them. :)

I was never a big Maiden fan myself, however I must have painted "Eddie" on a couple dozen denim jackets in high school. :sifone:
