Even if they know it's unconstitutional, they just withold road payments or something else to force the states to meet their wishes. 55 speed limit, 21 year old drinking, seat belts, .08 OUI, etc.

Yup, just some dumb old law... Like the internal revenue code or RICO.

It would be quite interesting if our current representatives were required to review the Constitution.
I think many of them don't even realize what it is they were elected to uphold.

To be allowed to run for public office, you should have to pass the same test a foreign person does to become a citizen. And a test on the Constitution which you swear to uphold when taking the oath of office.
